Africa-Press – Angola. The chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, Altino dos Santos, assessed on Monday, in Cabinda, the degree of fulfillment of the combative preparation of the forces at the level of the Cabinda Military Region (MR).

During his stay in Cabinda, the aviation general held a meeting with the commander of the Cabinda Military Region (RM), Tukikebi Tussen dos Santos, to learn about the forces’ readiness levels and combat preparation within the scope of the General Staff program. FAA General.

Lieutenant General Tukikebi dos Santos said that the visit was positive, taking into account the fulfillment of the combative preparation of the troops, to defend the territorial integrity of the province.

He also mentioned that it was a visit to verify the state of combat preparation of the forces in Cabinda, the organizational state, discipline and readiness, within the scope of complying with the Superior Command’s guidelines.

CEMGFA held a brief meeting with the vice-governor of Cabinda for Technical Services and Infrastructures, during which it addressed the current political-military situation, considered stable throughout the region.

Last December, the Commander of the National Army of the Angolan Armed Forces, João Serafim Kiteculo, on his visit to Cabinda, urged the branch’s personnel to increase their readiness to face the challenges of the future.

For General João Kiteculo, readiness must be a permanent mission, with a view to guaranteeing national and institutional security.

He indicated that by the year 2024, all efforts will be directed towards increasing the Army’s capacity and readiness, in order to participate with dignity in the nation’s military defense, in collaboration with other branches such as the National Air Force and the National Navy. , in guaranteeing territorial integrity, democracy, freedom and security of populations and national heritage.
