Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, determined, Thursday (01), after consultation with the National Electoral Commission (CNE), to extend the period of official electoral registration for another seven days.
The regular process of Official Electoral Registration, which has been implemented for six months, will continue the normal service at the Single Public Service Desks (BUAP). The measure is extended to all countries where the process is taking place.
“The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, determined Thursday (31), by decree, after consultation with the National Electoral Commission in person and Update of Residence of Senior Citizens, for a period of seven days, throughout the national territory and abroad country”, reads the note’s content.
The extension of the process, starts counting from today, and, by calculation, is scheduled to end next Thursday, the 7th. The unofficial electoral registration started on September 23, 2021, and, in practical terms, ended yesterday, but it maintains operations for another seven days, according to the Presidential Decree.
The Ministry of Territory Administration installed more than 590 BUAPs in the national territory for operations, spread across 164 municipalities in the country.
