Africa-Press – Angola. The Constitutional Court (TC) will hold, from Monday, an integrated day of activities to properly celebrate the entry into force of the Constitution of the Republic of Angola (CRA), on February 5, 2010.
Angola marks this Monday the 14th anniversary of the promulgation of the CRA, an important occasion for a deep reflection on the principles and values enshrined in the Cara Magna.
According to a note from the TC, the Constitution is an emanation of society, which defines political, social, economic, cultural, environmental or other aspirations.
For this and other reasons, the institution, as guardian of the Magna Carta, promotes “Constitution Week” from the 5th to the 10th of February, with a view to a worthy celebration.
In this sense, it is scheduled for Monday, in the municipality of Cuito, Bié, to hold a
Round Table, with the participation of the president of the TC, Laurinda Cardoso.
The event will address various issues related to the State’s fundamental law.
Still in the province of Bié, in the municipality of Andulo, the “Ondjango of the Constitution” is scheduled for Tuesday, a meeting with young students from the I and II cycle of secondary education in that region of the country, to discuss the issues rights, freedoms and fundamental guarantees.
The meeting aims to reinforce citizens’ levels of constitutional literacy, as similar events are also scheduled for the provinces of Cuanza-Norte and Luanda.
