Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial governor of Cuanza Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, reiterated, this Sunday, the need to combine efforts to improve the quality of service provision to citizens.
Speaking at the event in reference to the 63rd anniversary of the 4th of February, the date of the beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, the governor defended joint work in the most varied areas of the population’s life, with emphasis on education, health, agriculture, livestock and tourism.
For the governor, investing in education and health care takes care of the people and contributes to improving the human development index.
Hence, according to João Diogo Gaspar, efforts must be joined to achieve these objectives.
In this sense, the provincial official expressed his “openness to listening to ideas that allow the region to grow and develop”.
He considered that meeting the basic needs of individuals and families demands the implementation of targeted action instruments such as the integrated municipal program to combat hunger and poverty and the integrated intervention plan in the municipality.
Regarding the anniversary, he considered that it should remind current generations of the magnificent work of the brave men and women, “who spoke out to make the dream of an Angola free from the colonial regime come true”.
The 63rd of the Beginning of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation took place with the motto “Preserving the values of the country, let us honor our heroes”.
