Africa-Press – Angola. Eight hundred and seventy-six officers from the Public Order Police, Civil Protection and Fire Service and other defense and security bodies will ensure, this Tuesday, the provincial Carnival parade in Lunda-Norte.
The information was provided by the spokesperson for the National Police in Lunda-Norte, Domingos Muanafumo, highlighting that in addition to the agents, means are available to combat a possible fire.
The official stressed that any citizen who tries to sabotage the biggest popular festival will be held criminally responsible, appealing for the collaboration of revelers.
Press found that at the event location, on Avenida Dr. Agostinho Neto, Centralina do Mussungue, two ambulances and health technicians are available for evacuation and first aid.
32 groups have been confirmed for the parade, 17 children and 15 adults.
The winner of the children’s class will receive 600 thousand kwanzas as a prize, while in the adult category, the first place winner will receive 800 thousand kwanzas.
The carnival groups Tchako Tcha Utchokwe (Adult) and Affiliados do Muaquesse (Children), from the municipality of Chitato, are the holders of the Carnival titles in Lunda-Norte.
