The data was presented Wednesday, by Commissioner José Alberto Tchinyama, Provincial Commander of the National Police (PN) and delegate of the Ministry of the Interior (MINIT) in Cuando Cubango, during the celebration of the 48th anniversary of the PN, which took place under the motto: “National Police of Angola, 48 years of guaranteeing public security”.
José Alberto Tchinyama reported that, compared to the same previous period, five fewer deaths and 55 fewer injuries were recorded.
Of the accidents, 84 pedestrian collisions, thirteen collisions between motor vehicles, 44 collisions between single motorcycles, 36 collisions between motor vehicles and motorcycles and 11 collisions against fixed obstacles.

In the field of public security, it reported the registration of 1,578 crimes, with 966 solved, which resulted in the arrest of 1,149 suspected citizens.
Highlights include 30 crimes committed using firearms, including two homicides, 18 robberies, three threats, four attempted robberies, two attempted homicides and one offense to physical integrity.
He made it known that the criminal figures recorded include 392 crimes against people, 956 against property, 106 against public order and tranquility, 38 crimes against the environment, 41 crimes against the economy and 31 cases of vandalization of public property.
The list of detainees includes 34 females, 12 foreigners, thirteen guards from private security companies and 39 minors in conflict with the law.
During this period, five mortar mines, three anti-tank mines, one anti-personnel mine, a detonating cord and an equal number of D30 cannon projectiles, a skull, two human skeleton bones, 960 kilograms of drug-type drug were recovered and seized. and 38 thousand 765 liters of fuel, 20 thousand 645 liters of diesel and 18 thousand 125 liters of gasoline.
The seizures also include 52 elephant ivories, 121 heads of cattle, 13 heads of goats, a lion skeleton, three liters of lion fat, a jaguar skin, 10 kilograms of dog meat and three thousand and 60 kilograms of meat. of wild animals of different species.

During the same period, 28 firearms were voluntarily handed over, including 22 AKMs, one PKM, one pistol, three G3s, one carbine, three hand grenades, 14 magazines and thirteen pieces of ammunition.

With the Republic of Zambia, 24 incidents were recorded, highlighting five border violations by road, involving 16 citizens, 10 Angolans, five Zambians and one Mauritanian.
He urged administrative, traditional, religious authorities, civil society and the population in general to join synergies, aiming to increase the levels of guaranteeing public order, security and tranquility.
