Africa-Press – Angola. The General Tax Administration (AGT) foresees tax revenue valued at 250 million kwanzas with the registration of informal agents across the country.
The information was provided this Thursday, in Dundo, by the President of the Board of Directors of AGT, José Leiria, at the end of his working visit to Lunda-Norte, reiterating that the registration of agents carrying out commercial activity in the informal market , aims to increase tax bases.
He made it known that the registration process for informal agents in the eastern region will be fundamental for increasing tax revenues, through the expansion of revenue sources.
“We are working at the national level with income from infoamais in the order of 250 billion kwanzas, at the regional level the teams are still working in more detail to find the contribution capacity we have”, he highlighted.
He made it known that the institution is working to continue creating conditions for movement and registration of agents who carry out commercial activities along the borders, with a view to avoiding tax evasion.
According to the official, the eastern corridor, which comprises the seventh tax region, has unquestionable potential, in terms of collecting customs revenue, because it has the largest land border with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which represents an advantage.
During his stay in the province of Lunda-Norte, the AGT PCA delivered 19 four-wheel motorbikes to transport AGT technicians in difficult-to-access areas.
