Africa-Press – Angola. The coach of Sagrada Esperança, Roque Sapiri, pointed out (Thursday), in Luanda, the tactical caution of his squad as the key to the victory over 1o de Agosto, by 1-0, in a match for the 15th round of the first division National Football Championship (Girabola2023/24).
Speaking to the press, at the end of the match, played at Estádio dos Coqueiros, the coach explained that they knew that the opponent had evolved a lot, both defending and attacking, so they needed to avoid conceding a goal and managed to materialize.
He added that the victory is also the result of two substitutions, in the case of Kandumba, for Valter and Celso Cabuço, replacing Victoriano, right at the start of the second half, to correct the difficulties they encountered in crossing the opposing midfield, resulting in winning goal.
In turn, 1o de Agosto’s coach, FilipeNzanza, said that defeat was not in the team’s plans, they created opportunities, even playing small, but the balls did not go into the opposite goal.
He highlighted that they will continue to work, raising their heads, to improve the situation in the second round of the Championship. Also, he claimed to have a game overdue, at Académica do Lobito’s home, in the 11th round.
With this result, Sagrada Esperança is in 3rd place, with 27 points, while 1o de Agosto is in 5th, with 20 points.
