The manager was speaking during the presentation of a report on the socioeconomic situation of the municipality of Moxico to the local governor, Ernesto Muangala, as part of a visit that the leader carried out in this district of the province, as part of proximity governance.

The administrator classified the situation as “quite critical” mainly in the communes of Lucusse, Cangumbe and Muangai, which are devoid of this asset, due to the lack of installed electrical systems.

Currently, he continued, the city of Luena has a total of nine generating sets, with an installed power of 27.5Mw, divided into two thermal plants.

On the contrary, in the water sector he said there were improvements, with the city of Luena having two supply systems, while the communes of Lucusse and Muangai have small systems of the precise liquid, which supply the populations, he said.

Horácio Sachamuaha also pointed out as difficulties the degradation of access roads in the Luena/Léua and Luena/Munhango sections, as well as Lucusse/Muangai, a situation that has impacted the growth of the district.

He defended the increase in financial resources for the management and operationalization of basic sanitation activities, with the municipality currently benefiting from more than six billion 826 million kwanzas, from the General State Budget.

In turn, the provincial governor, who highlighted all the contributions from the administrative, traditional and religious authorities, said that the Government will continue to work to find solutions to the problems that affect the population, mainly in the social areas.
