Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of the province of Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, considered in Caxito, that it is imperative for Angolans to work to preserve the peace achieved with a lot of sacrifice and respect for political differences.

When speaking at the opening of the conferences celebrating the 4th of April, Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, he pointed out the date as one of the greatest achievements of the Angolan people, as it opened the way for the implementation of public policies, the increase of infrastructure and the improvement of communication routes that allowed the movement of people and goods.

The minister recognized the fact that there are still many challenges ahead, but, she highlighted, during all these years Angola has made many advances in the political, economic, social and cultural domains.

The President of the Angolan Christian Forum (FCA), Reverend Luís Nguimbi, pointed to free movement, the construction of industries, roads and bridges, the PIIM and the training of cadres as the great gains of peace.

When speaking on the topic “The Gains of Peace for the Socioeconomic Development of Angola”, he said that the gains are visible and asked Angolans to continue to dialogue and exchange ideas, as the country is moving towards development.
