Africa-Press – Angola. The republics of Angola and China addressed, this Wednesday, in Luanda, issues regarding bilateral cooperation between the two countries, with emphasis on promoting the philosophy of human rights, as a fundamental component.
According to a not, these aspects were addressed during the courtesy meeting between the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, and the special representative for Human Rights issues of the People’s Republic of China, Yang Xiaokun, where they reviewed issues related to cooperation between countries.
On the occasion, the Angolan diplomat reiterated the importance of consolidating a common language at multilateral level, in matters of Human Rights, with the aim of achieving the desired ends and combating human devaluation.
The strengthening of relations between the two States was also highlighted during the meeting, aiming to obtain practical and mutual benefits resulting from this valuable partnership.
Bilateral cooperation relations between Angola and China date back to 1983, which peaked in 2000 with the start of loans granted to Angola by the Asian giant, aimed at rebuilding infrastructure and boosting the national economy.
