Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA in the province of Bengo began in Caxito, a campaign to raise awareness and moralize society to discourage practices that are harmful to the good of society.

Speaking to the press, the secretary of the Department of Political, Electoral, Economic and Social Affairs of the Provincial Committee of Bengo, Manuel Fernando, explained that the campaign will be permanent and carried out every weekend with useful advice for pregnant women and young people about the consumption of alcoholic beverages and drugs.

He stressed that the MPLA has been concerned about the growing number of acts of vandalism on public and private property, an act that further impoverishes the population.

For this reason, he said, the party decided to run a campaign in a different format, meeting the population in the city’s neighborhoods, markets and arteries to discourage these practices.

It should be remembered that the proposed Law on the Crimes of Vandalism of Public Goods and Services states that acts of vandalism to public goods and services will be criminalized with prison sentences ranging between 10 and 15 years, due to the high damage caused to the State.
