Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, is in the city of Managua, capital of Nicaragua, to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to a press, this Wednesday, the diplomat will carry out an intense political-diplomatic agenda with high-ranking entities in Nicaragua, to address common issues.

The visit program includes meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua, Denis Moncada, with the president of the National Assembly, Gustavo Porra, and with the presidential advisor for Promotion and Investment, Trade and International Cooperation, Laureano Ortega, among other entities.

Diplomatic relations between Angola and Nicaragua were formally established on September 6, 1979.

Nicaragua, located between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, is a Central American country known for its impressive landscape that includes lakes, volcanoes and beaches.

The main agricultural commercial products are coffee, cotton, bananas, sugar cane, rice, cassava, corn, pineapple among other products and it is also one of the main countries in Central America in terms of livestock farming.
