Africa-Press – Angola. The creation of combined plays for the attack and the defensive organization dominate, today, at 9:30 am, the training of Petro de Luanda, in the Osvaldo Saturnino de Oliveira “Jesus” field, in the Madame Bergman neighborhood, aiming at the challenge with Mamelodi Sundowns, Saturday in the afternoon, at Estádio Nacional 11 de Novembro, for the quarter-final first leg of the African Champion Clubs’ Football League.

The players perform warm-up exercises, and then work with the ball, in order to improve the quality of the fast movement of the ball.

In the second part of training, coach Alexandre Santos will divide the athletes into two groups, to rehearse the combined moves of offensive and defensive actions.

Alexandre Santos will line up, on the one hand, the members of the defensive sector and, on the other, the midfielders and forwards, to train the technical-tactical aspects.

The technical staff of Eixo Viário wants a quick set in the defensive recovery, after a loss of the ball during the departures for the offensive actions.

In the final part of the training, the group will also rehearse the marking of dead balls, to improve their execution and the effectiveness of the forwards.

Tomorrow, at the same time, the team will return to work on all the game processes to be able to beat Mamelodi Sundowns and guarantee tranquility in the 2nd leg and, thus, reach the semi-finals.

The technical staff recovered, this Tuesday morning, in their training grounds, the physical condition of the athletes.

The tricolors began, on Monday, to prepare, behind closed doors to the press, the challenge with the South African team. The Media will only have access on the eve of the match, to report what will result from the press conference, in anticipation of the match.
