Africa-Press – Angola. The national secretary of JMPLA, Crispiniano dos Santos, proceeded Thursday, in this city, to launch the process of the Balance Assemblies and Renewal of Mandates of the group’s base organizations in the country and in the diaspora.

The assemblies will give way to the organization’s IX Ordinary Congress, taking place from the 20th to the 22nd of November, in Luanda, which aims to elect new JMPLA leaders and approve the organization’s programmatic plan, among other aspects.

The Conclave will also serve to outline actions for the next five years and analyze the issues of youth development and their participation in the life of the country.

At the opening of the event, Crispiniano dos Santos said that JMPLA is increasingly focused on mobilizing and interacting with society and youth in particular, with a view to facing the country’s current political, economic and social context, as well as strengthening the broken.

This strategy, according to him, aims to make the MPLA’s youth arm more proactive, interactive, close to communities and able to respond to youth aspirations, as well as the continuous strengthening of basic structures.

On the other hand, the politician reiterated JMPLA’s continued advocacy with the Executive, with a view to resolving social and other problems that young people face across the country, and in the province of Malanje in particular, towards their dignification and participation. in the country’s development.

In turn, the second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee, Nelo de Carvalho, called on the responsibility of young people to safeguard peace and national unity, as well as to contribute to the country’s reconstruction efforts, to improve living conditions of citizens.

He stressed that the organic process of the JMPLA’s IX Ordinary Congress should serve to make this wing of the MPLA more attractive to young people, as well as to reinforce the commitment of this fringe to the MPLA and its causes.

The opening act of the Balance and Mandate Renewal Assemblies of the JMPLA base organizations in the country and in the diaspora was attended by representatives of the organization’s central management and MPLA activists in the province.

In addition to participating in this event, Crispiniano dos Santos visited the works of the future General Hospital of Malanje, the facilities of the Universidade Rainha Njinga a Mbande (URNM) and the Instituto Médio Agrario de Malanje (IMAM).

The IX Ordinary Congress of the JMPLA aims to take stock of the actions of the last five years, amend the statutes, programmatic plan and analyze programs aimed at the integral development of young people and their participation in the country’s economic development.
