Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA in Cuando Cubango wants activists committed to organization, a spirit of innovation and dynamism, in favor of the effective qualitative growth of the party.
The alert was launched by the 1st secretary of the MPLA in Cuando Cubango, José Martins, who heads a party delegation in the commune of Luiana, municipality of Rivungo, to assess the functioning of basic structures, as part of the preparation of mandate renewal assemblies in communal and municipal committees.
The politician argued that, when holding assemblies of communal and municipal committees, for the renewal of mandates, those who have the organizational capacity and dynamism to be able to positively lead the group should be elected.
“A leader must have dexterity, sagacity, respect for his compatriots, so that he can manage the base structures well”, reiterated the politician, who praised, on the occasion, the work that the Luiana communal committee is developing, aiming to growth, strengthening and cohesion of the MPLA.
It should be noted that the 1st secretary witnessed, in the town of Jamba, the entry into the MPLA of 50 new militants, who resigned from UNITA, whom he welcomed, assuring that the “comrades” party defends peace, unity, national reconciliation, as well as having the responsibility of leading the people to development.
Agricultural production
In the town of Licua (in Mavinga and bordering Rivungo), potentially rich in garlic production, José Martins recognized that its population is mostly peasants, so he must continue to engage in promoting agriculture and guarantee food sustainability of families.
The 1st secretary said that he noted with satisfaction the field production presented to the party political delegation, such as corn, jinguba, cassava, sugar cane, pumpkin, among other products, a bet that must be diversified, taking advantage of the waters of the Luengue river.
Today, Monday, the MPLA delegation is working at the municipal headquarters of Dirico, with the same purpose of verifying the functioning of the party’s base structures, as part of the preparation of mandate renewal assemblies.
