Africa-Press – Angola. Angola supports the project to advance the commitment to protect the human rights of the elderly, in an initiative presented by Argentina, on Thursday (14), as part of the work of the 12th Session of the Open Composition Group, at the UN headquarters, in New York.
The Intersessional Working Group will aim to prepare a draft text to determine the gaps in the human rights system for older people.
It could also form the basis for future negotiations on instruments and measures to fill the gaps facing Member States and observers of the Open Working Group on Aging.
The draft will be submitted to the OEWGA for consideration at the 13th Session in 2023.
