Africa-Press – Angola. The sixth edition of Expo Cuanza-Norte, held from May 26th to June 1st, in Ndalatando, recorded a turnover of 480 million kwanzas.
Revenues resulted from the sale of various goods and services, with emphasis on 200 tons of agricultural products, such as cereals, tubers, oilseeds and citrus fruits.
The announcement was made by the head of C. Calas-Angola, the company in charge of organizing the event, Carlos Calas, at the closing gala.
The event, marked by the exhibition of agricultural products and equipment, was attended by 15 thousand visitors and generated more than 500 direct and indirect jobs.
Carlos Calas said that this edition of the event achieved the highest volume of business and investor participation since it was institutionalized in 2018.
He highlighted the dedication of the exhibitors in responding to the innovation proposals of the event, which had a massive public response.
During the gala, certificates of merit were awarded to the exhibitors who stood out the most.
The company TECNAGRI, linked to the commercialization of technological solutions for the agricultural sector, won the title of best company at Expo Cuanza- Norte/2024.
The activity included in the celebrations of the 68th anniversary of the founding of the city of Ndalatando, marked on May 28th, saw the participation of 252 exhibitors from the 10 municipalities of Cuanza Norte and from the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Namibe, Malanje and Uíge.
The closing ceremony was led by the governor of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar.
