Parliamentarians evaluate social projects in Calandula

Africa-Press – Angola. Deputies from the Malanje provincial circle assessed on Monday (10) the level of execution of social impact projects linked to the Integrated Program for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and the Integrated Plan for Local Development and Combating Poverty (PIDLCP), at the level of the municipality of Calandula.

The parliamentarians assessed the progress of the construction and rehabilitation works of health posts, small water systems, schools and other actions that are being developed in several communes and neighborhoods of the municipality.

In addition to evaluating the projects, the deputies interacted with the community, as well as meeting with members of the Social Consultation and Concertation Council (CACS) from whom they heard the concerns that affect different segments of the municipality’s population.

The extension of the electricity network to communal headquarters and other locations, construction of roads and bridges, are among the concerns presented by CACS members to parliamentarians.

In response, the coordinator of the group of deputies, Ana da Purificação, assured that the concerns will be presented to the related ministerial departments, with a view to their solution.

Deputies Mardanês Calunga, Ana da Purificação and Ana José were part of the delegation.

The municipality of Calandula occupies an area of ​​7 thousand 37 square kilometers, with 464 villages and 18 districts and has an estimated population of one hundred thousand inhabitants, spread across the municipalities of Cota, Cuale, Kinje, Cateco Cangola and Sede.
