Africa-Press – Angola. The potential and business opportunities in Africa were discussed, Tuesday, in a round table, within the framework of the 20th edition of the International Business Fair – IMEX Madrid, which runs until tomorrow.

Under the theme “improving Africa”, the roundtable will be for African companies to seek partnerships in the Spanish market, as well as to showcase products “made in” Africa.

During the meeting, the minister of Industry and Commerce, Victor Fernandes, highlighted the contribution of Spanish businessmen in the process of diversifying the Angolan economy, investing in the agribusiness, manufacturing, fisheries and tourism sectors.

For the Angolan official, the presence of Spanish companies in Angola is an added value and justified that Spain has developed in the industrial, agro-industrial sectors, in addition to other important sectors in the country.

Victor Fernandes explained to Spanish businessmen that Angola has the second watershed in Africa, with 55 million arable land ready for agricultural production, with soils not yet saturated and with 75 percent of the young population (14 to 35 years old), between other advantages.

Angola is present at IMEX Madrid with a standard stand model (in a modular system), with cultural attractions and the country’s potential, through agriculture, fishing, industry, commerce and infrastructure.
