Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is carrying out, as of today, a three-day working mission to the province of Cabinda. Arrival is scheduled for 9 am, according to information released by its Press Office.
The Head of State and the delegation accompanying him will then go on to a meeting with the Government of the province, to discuss the general state of the territory. This meeting will be attended by several ministers, who will provide clarification on the local performance of the respective sectors.
According to the official agenda, also today, the President of the Republic will inaugurate the General Hospital of Cabinda to, in the afternoon, grant the usual audiences to representatives of civil society, namely, ecclesiastical figures, traditional authorities, young people and entrepreneurs.
Tomorrow, the Head of State inaugurates the Maritime Passenger Terminal, a strategic infrastructure that will substantially change the way people travel to and from Cabinda. The almost exclusive connection by air now opens up the possibility of using sea transport as an option. Also on Friday, the President of the Republic is scheduled to visit the Malongo field (Chevron’s headquarters in Angola) to visit the construction of an oil platform.
According to the agenda distributed to the press, João Lourenço will preside over a mass rally on Saturday, before returning to Luanda.
