Africa-Press – Angola. The first secretary of the MPLA in the municipality of Chicala-Cholohanga, José Manuel dos Santos, discouraged, this Saturday, the vandalization of public assets, to avoid the repetition of investments and the civil and criminal liability of offenders.

The supporter expressed concern about the wave of vandalism of public property in the municipality, when the opposite should be preserving it to serve all citizens.

He said that the State has spent a lot of money due to the irresponsible actions of some citizens, hence the need for the involvement of MPLA activists and the population, in general, in denouncing all acts that put the well-being of the population at risk.

The politician said that the party will intensify the awareness campaign with the intervention of activists from the base to the top, in the sense of being faithful mobilizers, with the dissemination of messages about the preservation and maintenance of public assets, in the communes and at the municipal headquarters, in order to serve future generations.

He called on activists to close ranks in monitoring and discouraging such acts, which are destroying water systems, schools, public lighting posts and others in the municipality.
