Africa-Press – Angola. The writer Isaquiel Cori defended, Saturday, in Luanda, the creation of new policies to encourage the production and dissemination of literary works, in order to increase and give greater projection to literature in Angola.
For the writer, who has a new book on the market, entitled “Dias da Nossa Vida”, whose presentation ceremony took place on Saturday, at Cassenda, in Luanda, the creation of new policies will also allow the national market to have cheap and schools to implement libraries capable of encouraging a taste for reading.
On the other hand, Isaquiel Cori considered the current literary creation by national authors to be positive, especially with the emergence of new writers lending their knowledge to national culture. “On the creative side, the current state is positive, but in the production of the book, there are issues that must be overcome and facilitated by the printers, so that there are more authors publishing titles”, he said.
The fact that there are many authors with “works in the drawer” due to lack of financial support for publication is, for Isaquiel Cori, a clear sign of the importance of having new policies. Regarding the novel, which began to be forged in 2015, he explained that this addresses some social situations, such as corruption, influence games, whose impact has greatly affected society.
Born in Luanda, Isaquiel Cori is a writer, member of the Angolan Writers Union, and editor. He currently has on the market the books “Shaked by the wind”, “The last sorcerer”, “People with whom to speak”, co-authored with Aguinaldo Cristóvão, and “Último retreat”.
