Africa-Press – Angola. Seven clubs based in the city of Luena will compete in the Provincial Senior Men’s Football Championship, in the province of Moxico, whose season start (2024) is scheduled for October 5th.

These are FC Bravos do Maquis do Moxico (B), Futebol Clube Jovens de Hoje, Clube Recreativo 22 de Novembro, Escolinha de Futebol do Moxico and Academia VGC do Moxico, which makes its debut in this football competition.

The Championship will also feature the participation of Escola Desportiva Visão no Futuro; Grupo Desportivo Esperança do Moxico, Futebol Clube Elenco do Aço who will face each other in 14 rounds, divided into two rounds.

In this new season, three “traditional” clubs are left out of this competition, namely FC do Popular (runner-up last season), Club Desportivo 10 de Maio, and FC do Moxico which, for administrative reasons, did not register for the championship..

In addition to the Senior Championship of the sport, the aforementioned clubs, plus Escolinha de Futebol do Moxico will compete in the provincial championship at other levels, namely the Unified Women’s, Under-11, 17 and Under-20 in Men’s.

FC Bravos do Moxico is the holder of the title won in the previous season.

FC Jovens de Hoje is off on the first day due to the calendar.
