President João Lourenço presented, this Monday, condolences to the senior leadership of the Catholic Church in Angola for the death of Cardinal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento, visiting the Episcopal Palace.The Head of State was accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço.
In the book of condolences, opened at the scene, João Lourenço once again praised the virtues of Cardinal Dom Alexandre do Nascimento, similar to what he had done in the message addressed to the family on the day of the death of the eminent man of God, referring to Dom Alexandre as “an outstanding son of Angola”, “a good man” and author of a “path of great greatness”.In the same text, the President of the Republic also expressed his conviction that “the deeds of the servant of the Church and the Nation who now leaves us will be perpetuated”, in confirmation of the “nobility of the general cause that he defended throughout his life, that of spreading Good”.
