Africa-Press – Angola. The Venâncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy will pay tribute, on Friday, the 25th, to the Angolan writer Artur Pestana dos Santos, known by the pseudonym “Pepetela”.The event, of a cultural nature, will be open to university students, teachers, public entities and the general public.
Born in Benguela, the 82-year-old writer has a total of 26 literary works on the market, two of which are plays and the same number of chronicles.
Pepetela won the Camões Prize in 1997, the Rosalía de Castro Prize from the PEN Galicia Center in 2014, and the Correntes de Escrita Prize in 2020, with the work “Sua Excelência de Corpo Presente”, published in 2018.
