An Angolan delegation headed by the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, signed, in Dubai, an agreement, for the materialization of investments in the country, with the company DAMAC Properties, in the continuation of the promise made to the Head of State, João Loureço, in March this year, in Luanda, during an audience with its owner, Huassain Sajwani.

DAMAC Properties has a vast portfolio, which includes commercial and residential investments in Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan and the UK. In Dubai, their projects include DAMAC Towers, Ghalia Constella, AKOYA by DAMAC and AKOYA Oxygen, with the group’s notable project being DAMAC Hills, a premium golf community offering villas, villas and apartments as well as a variety of world-class amenities and facilities.

The two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which consists of the expression of interest for the start of exploratory activities, in order to find investment opportunities in various areas to be granted by the Angolan State, with emphasis on high standard construction, residential areas, hotels, offices, golf courses and other interests, according to the note from the Angolan Embassy in Abu Dhabi that reached our newsroom.

The agreement, by Angola, was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), Henriques da Silva, and by the company Emirati, by the director, Shawki Sajwani, in the presence of the Minister of State and Head of the Civil House of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, and of the president of DAMAC Properties, Hussain Sajwani.
