Africa-Press – Angola. More than eight thousand inhabitants of the urban district of Kikolo, municipality of Cacuaco (Luanda), were affected by flooding caused by the rain that fell on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning in this locality.
As a result of the rain, the streets of “Hospital Ana Paula”, “Cultura” and “Setenta”, in block 6, where eight thousand 811 people live, were flooded and impassable, a situation also experienced in block 4, made up of 7,670 inhabitants.
This fact was confirmed this Sunday, during the first field visit by the interim municipal administrator, Inácio de Almeida, who assessed the priority issues for the well-being of the population of this municipality.
This finding allowed measures to be taken to improve local conditions, with the removal of water accumulated in critical areas.
Regarding the field trip, the interim municipal administrator reaffirmed his commitment to work continuously to resolve the problems of the citizens, in order to guarantee essential services with the desired quality and efficiency.
Inácio de Almeida considered the interaction he had with the citizens to be positive and said he had taken good note of the concerns and suggestions made by the citizens.
According to the source, the interaction served to strengthen the proximity between the Municipal Administration and the community.
The field trip also served to inspect the public lighting system on the recently built roads.
