Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA leader Adalberto da Costa Júnior assured in Benguela that the party will respect the ruling of the Constitutional Court on the reinstatement of militant José Pedro Kachiungo.
Adalberto da Costa Júnior, who was speaking to the press at the end of an internal working meeting on the activities of the “black rooster” party, held in Benguela, said that the ruling is clear and UNITA will only comply.
The politician asked the media to publicize the reality of the ruling on the matter, and not to be influenced by what is going viral on social media.
The ruling, according to the president of UNITA, is clear and has nothing to do with the claims presented by the militant, stressing that the court was careful to give due treatment, which led to the well-known outcome.
The party, said Adalberto da Costa Júnior, will take to Parliament a proposal to amend some electoral laws, with the aim of democratising the law on political parties, the communications law and the land law.
“The objective is to make citizens participate in discussions and to have a path that builds an Angola for everyone and to support a party that is committed to democracy and development and to leave aside those who do not want to make reforms,” he said.
The UNITA leader highlighted, on the other hand, that 2025 is the year of the UNITA Congress, where the perspective of plurality will be maintained in its appropriate time.
