Africa-Press – Angola. The organization of the African Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship, to be held in Luanda in May, will be discussed by the president of the Angolan Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Armando Diogo, during the General Assembly of the International Federation in Belgrade, Serbia.
The event, whose organization will also involve members of the world body, will be presented at various meetings in Belgrade, where, among other things, the state of development of MMA for young people will be debated, in which Angola presents a modality as a model to combat crime.
Angola is developing a social project called “Crime Zero”, which uses MMA as a tool to fight crime and promote social inclusion.
The country and the continent will be represented at the international meeting by sports directors, coaches and judges.
Angola, which won an unprecedented title in 2024 in Namibia, will organize the African championship for the second time, after holding it in the 2023 edition.
