Africa-Press – Angola. Diplomat Sianga Abílio handed over the letters accrediting him as the new Angolan ambassador to the Republic of Korea.The document was delivered to the Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea (MOFA), Kim Tae Jim, in Seoul.
According to a note sent to JA Online, on the occasion, the official from that Asian country expressed satisfaction at having had the opportunity, as head of protocol, to accompany the visit made by President João Lourenço to South Korea, in April 2024.
Kim Tae Jim also said that he hopes that relations between the two countries will bear fruit, especially in the naval industry and in the investment sector.
On the other hand, he highlighted the good cooperation that exists in development programmes, namely the Innovation and Public Security projects in Angola and the Advanced Technology Industrial Centre, both financed by the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) of the Republic of South Korea.
In turn, Ambassador Sianga Abílio stressed that he will spare no effort to ensure that Angola can benefit from South Korea’s vast economic growth and its advantages in the areas of Education, Industry, Agriculture, Technological Development and Innovation.
Sianga Abílio is a petroleum geologist, graduated in 1981, and also holds a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy.
