The president of the Second Committee of the National Assembly, Ruth Mendes, expressed satisfaction with the social projects implemented by the Provincial Government of Malanje for the benefit of former combatants and veterans of the Homeland.During a visit to the Social Security Fund of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), the National Police and the “Major Canhangulo” Shoe Factory, the MP highlighted the good institutional organisation and the satisfactory level of re-registration, underlining the local commitment to the inclusion and labour integration of this social group.
Ruth Mendes also highlighted concerns related to the exact number of beneficiaries, widows and orphans, advocating improvements in assistance and the remodelling of the factory, which could generate more jobs and benefit the children of former combatants with training and employability.
The governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, received the parliamentarians and highlighted the commitment of the Provincial Government to continue developing policies that guarantee dignity and support to former combatants and their families.
