Africa-Press – Angola. The political and security situation in Africa, with emphasis on the conflicts in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan and South Sudan, dominated the meeting this Thursday between the head of Angolan diplomacy, Téte António, and the Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of April, Jérôme Bonnafont. At the meeting, which was held at the United Nations headquarters in New York, Téte António noted with concern the deterioration of the security situation in some countries in the region, representing a setback in the collective efforts for peace in Africa.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also shared with Jérôme Bonnafont the concerns expressed in the areas of politics, protection of civilians, human rights and food security.
