Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Esmeralda Mendonça, presided over the closing ceremony of the High-Level Regional Preparatory Meeting for the Second Session of the Maritime Conference of the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) this Friday in Luanda.
The meeting began on the 22nd of this month and took place in one of the hotels in the city of Luanda, where the Secretary of State represented the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António.In her speech, Esmeralda Mendonça congratulated the experts from the Member States for their commitment, spirit of camaraderie and sense of mission demonstrated during the work, and stressed that the consensus reached represents a significant step forward in the consolidation of regional policies in the maritime domain.
The four-day regional meeting allowed for the detailed examination of three strategic documents that aim to guide ECCAS’s action in the maritime domain and inland waters, among other aspects.
