Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, will be making an official two-day visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt from Tuesday onwards.
According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, the Head of State’s visit to Egypt is in response to an invitation from his counterpart Abdel Fatah Al-Sisi, with whom he will meet before witnessing the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements in various fields. Another highlight of the President’s mission to Cairo is a meeting on Wednesday with the Egyptian business community to assess investment prospects in both countries.On the 3rd, 4th and 5th of March, the President of the Republic was in the Egyptian capital to represent the African Union, which he presides over, at an Arab League summit dedicated to the reconstruction of Gaza.
The Head of State was previously in Rome, Italy, where he attended the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday.
