Africa-Press – Angola. The MPLA Provincial Committee in Cuanza-Sul launched the provincial party growth campaign at provincial level on Saturday. During the event, the first secretary, Narciso Benedito, who chaired the event, said that the MPLA’s Political Agenda for 2025 includes, among other pillars, community mobilization events and visits to help and monitor the party’s intermediate structures, aiming to attract more militants to the party’s ranks.
“This event is taking place at a time when the country is going through challenging times, and our mission is to attract more militants to our ranks, in quantity and quality, but also to create interaction between the top and the base”, he explained. The politician stressed that for the party to truly grow, greater attention must be paid to the Party Action Committees (CAP), given their value in disseminating the party’s policy, but also because they have the mission of constantly evaluating militants.Narciso Benedito recalled that the MPLA is a force that is constantly renewing itself, as a result of the dedication of its members, in a symbiosis between the old and new generations, reflected in the generational transition.
“The challenges of the present and the future must be accompanied by acts of empathy between old and young members, without neglecting acts of solidarity, the valorization of the political experience of older members and their political and ideological training”, he said.
