Filipe Nzanza, coach of 1.o de Agosto, highlighted on Tuesday the unpredictability of the Angola Cup matches, but remains confident of qualifying when they face Sagrada Esperança from Lunda-Norte today at 3:00 pm in the semi-final. “The team is doing well. We are managing the euphoria of the victory in the derby, but with our attention turned to the Angola Cup. The semi-final is unpredictable, as there is no draw. Whoever loses, is out. We will do everything we can to overcome Sagrada and guarantee qualification for the final of the competition. It is always difficult”, stressed the leader of the military technical team.
The former midfielder from 1.o de Agosto revealed how he will approach the game: “We will go with our heads held high and fight as equals. Last season, we were eliminated at this stage, now we want to do things differently and compete in the final”.Contrary to the plan to arrive in the city of Dundo yesterday, the soldiers only arrived at the match venue today. Filipe Nzanza sees the situation as unusual, but despite the disruption, he believes in qualifying.
“I don’t know how the players will react on the pitch. It’s been a long time since we travelled on the day of the match. In our time it was completely different. That hasn’t happened for more than five years. But we’re going to forget what happened and focus on playing a good match, that is, winning the tie”, he said.
