Africa-Press – Angola. The farming families of the municipality of Necuto, in the province of Cabinda, produce around 642 tons of cocoa annually, reported the deputy municipal administrator. Manuel Gomes Isaías said that production is carried out in an area of ​​around twenty thousand and 719 hectares and involves the involvement of eight thousand 664 farmers from the family sector.

The farmers also produce around twenty 7,777 tons of various products. According to Manuel Isaías, agricultural production in Necuto is carried out in an area of ​​around ninety-four thousand and 180 hectares and is ensured by eight thousand 664 farmers from the family sector, seventy production units and eighteen cooperatives.

In turn, the vice-governor for the Technical and Infrastructure sector, Juliano Capita, said that the objective of the Government of the province of Cabinda is to make the region a powerhouse in terms of large-scale production of cocoa and other cash crops.
