Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of Zaire, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, stated this Tuesday in Mbanza Kongo that the resolution of the problems that still afflict the population requires greater commitment from the staff placed in various sectors of the province.
The governor made this appeal during the inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed staff, in light of the Law that approves the new Regulation of the State Local Administration.
They are the new directors of the provincial offices of Youth and Sports, and Culture and Tourism, António Marcelino Barata and Nzuzi Makiese Wete Kadi, respectively.
Adriano Mendes de Carvalho urged the new director of Youth and Sports to further intensify the practice of sports in the region, bringing together young people living in all municipalities.
“Talk to young people, create programs with a social impact so that young people are better involved in socially useful activities”, he recommended.
The governor asked the new director of Culture and Tourism to begin preparations for the 2025 edition of FestiKongo, to be held from 5 to 8 July this year.
It should be noted that, previously, the sectors of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports were headed by a single provincial director.
The aim of this abolition is to conform to the new administrative organisation of the Provincial Government.
