Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço held a telephone conversation on Friday (6), from Cazombo, eastern Province of Moxico Leste, with his counterpart from Comoros, Azali Assoumani.
The strengthening of bilateral relations was the topic of conversation.
On the same day, and in another telephone call, João Lourenço spoke with the President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayismiye.
In this second conversation, President João Lourenço, in his capacity as acting President of the African Union (AU), appointed his Burundian counterpart to represent the continental political organization at the 3rd United Nations Conference on the Oceans, which will take place next week in the French city of Nice.
Burundi holds the Vice-Presidency at the table of the AU Assembly.
