Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Angola and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, João Lourenço, appointed Lieutenant General Remígio do Espírito Santo as 2nd Commander of the Army on Friday.
Previously, João Lourenço had dismissed Lieutenant General João Cruz da Fonseca from the position of 2nd Commander of the Army, and Lieutenant General Remígio do Espírito Santo from the position of Commander of the Southeast Military Region.
In another decree, the Commander-in-Chief of the FAA determined that Lieutenant General João Cruz da Fonseca, 2nd Commander of the Army, would be placed on temporary inactive status.
