Africa-Press – Angola. A business excursion called “Cape Town-Angola” will take place from July 30th to August 1st in the central and southern regions of Angola, as part of the economic diplomacy between Angola and South Africa, aiming to attract investment and solidify relations between the two countries.
According to a press release from the Consulate General of Angola in Cape Town, received on Thursday, this is the first initiative of its kind organized by the consulate in that city.
Launching the event during a press conference, the Consul General of Angola in Cape Town, Elsa Caposso Vicente, highlighted the importance of the tour for the tourism industry in the region, for the African continent, and perhaps for the rest of the world.
For her, this is another opportunity to foster interaction between businesspeople from both countries, as well as the establishment of common strategies to boost Angola’s tourism industry.According to Elsa Caposso Vicente, as Angola celebrates its 50th anniversary of independence, this is expected to be another initiative to showcase Angola’s tourism potential and invite foreign businesspeople to invest in the country.The diplomat hopes the event will result in the signing of agreements between Angolan and South African businesspeople, taking advantage of legislation that is attractive to foreign investment.Trade relations between Angola and South Africa are strong and diverse, with a focus on strengthening economic and investment ties between the two countries.South Africa is an important trading partner for Angola, especially in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.
