Angolan Foreign Minister to Represent Head of State at CPLP Summit

Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, will represent, on Friday, in Bissau, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, at the 15th Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).

This high-level meeting, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brings together the highest representatives of the CPLP Member States, aiming to deepen political-diplomatic coordination and strengthen ties of friendship and solidarity in the community.

At this conference, Guinea Bissau will assume the rotating presidency of the CPLP for two years (2025–2027), succeeding São Tomé and Príncipe.

The central theme of the conference will be: “The CPLP and Food Sovereignty: A Path to Sustainable Development”, focusing on the promotion of food security and multisectoral cooperation to combat nutritional crises in Portuguese-speaking countries.
