The Minister of Youth and Sports, Rui Falcão, on Thursday in Luanda, visited the delegations of Cabo Verde, Mozambique and São Tomé and Príncipe that will participate in the Games of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), which will take place from July 17 to 27, in Dili, Timor-Leste.
According to the ministry’s website, the ceremony, held at the Futungo II facilities, where they were staying, served to present his solidarity to the members of the three African missions after the aircraft returned to the airspace on Tuesday, still in the air, for immigration reasons.
During the meeting, Rui Falcão, who spent time with the athletes reaffirmed the continued spirit of mission. However, the trip is scheduled for Friday (18), and the three delegations are expected to board the Angolan airline (TAAG) flight, together with the Angolan delegation.
For the competition, the country will have a delegation of 100 members, Cabo Verde with 83, while São Tomé and Príncipe will have 33 members and Mozambique 37.
The first edition of the CPLP Games took place in 1992 and Portugal was crowned champion.
