Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Territorial Administration, Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca, is on a working mission in the People’s Republic of China from the 18th to the 24th, leading a delegation that includes national directors.
According to a statement upon arrival in the Chinese capital, Beijing, the minister will hold a courtesy meeting with the Angolan ambassador to China, followed by official meetings with local authorities to exchange experiences on local governance.The agenda also includes several activities, including visits to the Government Affairs Hall and the Intelligent Operations Center in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, where the delegation will learn about the experiences of 40 years of reform and opening up in Guangdong Province.
During Minister Dionísio Manuel da Fonseca’s mission to China, a Memorandum of Understanding is scheduled to be signed between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Huawei Technologies, focusing on the modernization of State Local Administration, the digital transformation of public services, the promotion of social inclusion, and the protection of public data.
The Ministry of Territorial Administration is the auxiliary ministerial department of the President of the Republic, tasked with formulating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating Executive policy regarding State Local Administration and Municipal Administration.
Its mission is also to monitor the implementation of the reform of State Local Administration and other local government institutions, territorial organization, and support the general and local election processes.
