Africa-Press – Angola. The National Team will learn its opponent in the Afrobasket 2025 quarterfinals this Tuesday (19), following the match between Cape Verde and Tunisia at the Kilamba Pavilion in Luanda.
Cape Verde and Tunisia will compete in the round of 16 of the play-offs starting at 4 pm, and the winner will face host Angola on Thursday, after the latter qualified directly and undefeated in the group stage.
The day’s round features the Cameroon-DRC match, starting at 7 pm at the same venue.
On Monday, the start of the play-offs saw the elimination of the African ranking leader, South Sudan, by Senegal, with a 65-78 defeat.
In the other match, a quarterfinal qualifier, Mali defeated Guinea 70-67.
Angola is seeking its 12th African title and is the sole survivor of Group C, whose initial stage was played in Namibe province.
Libya, Guinea, and South Sudan were eliminated from the quarterfinals.
