Africa-Press – Angola. The 6th Angola Oil and Gas (AOG-2025) conference and exhibition will take place on September 3rd and 4th in Luanda, promoting Angolan projects and providing a platform for partnerships, business, and dialogue.

According to the AOG website, this year’s event will have the theme “Angola at 50: Oil and Gas as a Factor for Development,” aligning with the Executive’s objectives of positioning the sector as a catalyst for long-term economic growth.

AOG has been held for the past five years with the full support of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, the National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG), the Regulatory Institute for Petroleum Derivatives (IRDP), Sonangol, and the African Energy Chamber.

It states that for this edition, the organizers expect the participation of more than 3k delegates from 450 organizations and 40 countries, as well as more than 120 speakers.

During the event, key stakeholders will discuss new strategies aimed at accelerating Angola’s exploration and production goals, with the ambition of maintaining crude oil production above a million barrels per day (bpd) beyond 2027, while also driving developments in non-associated gas, refining, and petrochemicals.

To achieve these goals, AOG 2025 will serve as a launchpad for new projects and investments.

Each year, AOG serves as a platform for partnerships, collaborations, and multi-billion-dollar deals. For example, in 2024, five industry-leading agreements were signed, laying the foundation for collaboration, market growth, and future prosperity.

For this edition, keynote speakers include Sebastião Martins, Murray Auchincloss, Claudio Descalzi, and Paulino Jerónimo, Chairs of Sonangol, BPI, ENI, and ANPG, respectively, as well as Mike Sangster, senior vice president for Africa at TotalEnergias.

Also noteworthy in this category are the Angola Minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo; the executive secretary of the African Refiners’ Distribution Association, Anibor Kragha; and the executive president of the African Energy Chamber, NJ Ayuk.
