Football: Angola Debuts with a Victory in COSAFA

Africa-Press – Angola. Angola began its participation in the COSAFA U-17 Cup in Harare, Zimbabwe, with a victory, defeating Botswana 5-0.

In the Group C match, Angola’s goals were scored by Constantio Chianica (16), Pedro António (45, 64), Jairo Muanha (61), and Manuel Morais (89).

Angola’s Gabriel Silva was named MVP of the match.

Angola plays again on Sunday against Lesotho at 3 p.m.

The top three teams in the COSAFA Cup qualify for the 2026 African U-17 Nations Championship, also in Zimbabwe.
