Africa-Press – Angola. The António Agostinho Neto Cultural Center, in the province of Icolo e Bengo, will host the 2nd edition of the Agostinho Neto Theater Award from September 30th to October 4th of this year.
According to a press release from the aforementioned institution, which reached, the Agostinho Neto Theater Award aims to promote training courses, roundtables, debates, and the staging of adapted plays about Neto’s life and work.
Furthermore, the event aims to stimulate a love of theater in communities, raise awareness among artistic creators, and promote scientific research initiatives among students.
The annual event is supported by the Dr. António Agostinho Neto Foundation, the Government of Icolo e Bengo, and the Municipal Administration of Catete.
In this edition, the report states, the winning groups will receive a statuette featuring António Agostinho Neto, a certificate, and an undisclosed amount of money.
To classify the nominees, the jury will evaluate the performance, adaptation of the text, as well as the technical and aesthetic
