Africa-Press – Angola. The presence and contribution of Angolan women, in particular, and in general terms of the African woman in the arts was analysed at a conference dubbed “Art in the Feminine”, held this October 03 and 04 in Caracas, Venezuela.
The event was conducted by the executive secretary of the Sagrada Esperança Foundation (FSE), Evy Eden Martins.
Speaking in Luanda, Ms Martins said the conference happened in a pleasant environment, with the dialogue focussing on the presence and contibution of African women to the arts.
She informed that the Angolan delegation was the one that presented the lecture on the mentioned topic. The event also discussed the topic “Colonialism, Neocololialism and the Territorial Dispossession of Western Impderialism”.
Evy Eden Martins is an Angolan psychiatrist, educator and researcher. She is also involved in activism for women’s rights and gender equality.
